OSP Fiber Utility Locators & Inspectors

We are seeking OSP Fiber Utility Locators & Inspectors for long term contracts throughout California. MUST be willing to move around as needed. Mileage travel is reimbursed.

Monday-Saturday 10 hours/day (up to 60 hours/week)

**Requires work on/with crews on railways and/or public highways, pipelines, rights of way**

Job description: On-site Inspector/ Locator who will maintain the integrity of fiber assets, locate utilities, provide daily reports to the Construction Manager, and work closely with the construction crew monitoring progress and quality.

Locate Services: Inspector/ Locator will be responsible for providing location services for the existing facilities (duct, cable, handholes) and monitoring any construction that takes place around Lumen facilities.

Inspection Services: Inspector/ Locator will be responsible for completing daily and weekly production reports, completing dig-up reports, maintaining sequential fiber placement documentation for newly placed cable, capturing GPS locations for all handholes, and updating KML files in Google Earth. The inspector will also be a liaison for meetings with local municipalities, ROW owners, and property owners.

• Night work may be required.
• Online Railroad safety training, with Lumen assistance to acquire.
• PPE-Hardhat, Safety glasses, Vest, and steel-toed lace-up boots will be required.
