OR Director
Morgan Hunter HealthSearch is assisting a community hospital with their search for a new OR Director.
The hospital features five main operating rooms, as well as an OR in the OB department. The majority of the cases are general and ortho, with an annual volume of approximately 2,150 (190 c-sections). The hospital is certified for hip, knee and shoulder replacement through the Joint Commission, as well as a Level II primary stroke center, acute heart attack ready through the Joint Commission, and a Level III trauma center.
The director will oversee a staff of approximately 30 FTEs. The right candidate is one who is a visible leader that promotes a culture of engagement with both staff and physicians. Must have a solid understanding of all perioperative services and regulations. Prior director experience is strongly preferred (five years of OR leadership is required).
The hospital is located in a community of 20,000 which is just over a 30-minute drive to the suburbs of a major metropolitan area, offering easy access to amenities.
