Dagen is recruiting qualified applicants for the position of Manager, Planning - OFE, reporting to the Project Planning Manager for our oil and gas client in Downtown Houston. This role entails leading project planning for large-scale initiatives and driving progress measurement.

This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities:

  • Review schedules to ensure that the appropriate level of details and structure are applied and effective progress monitoring
  • Be responsible for monitoring progress and producing accurate projections of time and cost
  • Ensure schedules generated for a project are fully integrated and resource-loaded to ensure accuracy
  • Set up, implement, and maintain schedule related key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure other project teams have access to accurate current reports and projections and relevant reports are available for the customer
  • Participate in discussions about the future of the business requiring frequent and thorough interaction with other functions
  • Present projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams
  • Mange complex processes requiring involvement of many stakeholders on the client and business side
  • Ensure compliance of industry procedures and practices
  • Obtains data on progress, logic, and manpower from operations/plant personnel
  • Conduct schedule review meetings and assist in developing alternatives to accommodate changes to operational plans and communicate any deviations of current plan

Qualifications:

  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree (Engineering discipline preferred) or equivalent experience in LNG project engineering and/or construction industry
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated success in proactively improving processes and systems
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries and governmental agencies.
  • Organized, planning skills, able to manage multiple activities and programs in timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy, able to meet work deadlines
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
  • Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, Project and PowerPoint
  • Specific expertise with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project
