Job Title: OCM Consultant
Location: Remote

Summary: The OCM Consultant must be self-directed and driven to develop and present top quality deliverables that provide our clients with viable solutions to complex organizational issues facing them during transformational changes. This role will also need to collaborate closely with Project Managers, IT personnel, and business leaders to develop and articulate the changes of the organization necessary to successfully adopt new processes and technology. The OCM Consultant is responsible for driving the change efforts necessary to bring about the intended results for the client.

Job Description:

• Create client-specific OCM analysis, plan, and roadmap based on their unique requirements and current level of maturity in change management capabilities.
• Assist in business development activities, which can include initial sales calls, high-level assessments, and full profiling of their needs as it relates to TMS implementation and level of change required.
• Drive the creation and evolution of an OCM implementation methodology which includes activities & deliverables by phase, creating templates & examples, and internal training of team members.
• Support other project areas outside OCM, as required.
• Lead and manage OCM activities for projects that require highly complex and transformational changes to clients’ organizations and processes.
• Successfully work with multiple levels from sponsors and process owners all the way to front-line associates to comprehend and articulate the goals for the change and translate into organizational impacts.
• Develop, maintain, update, and effectively communicate and present the change management strategy and plan based on client’s needs along with awareness and assessment of the current state.
• Maintain and update supporting change management documents (Stakeholder Analysis, Communication Plan, Training Plan, etc.) including organizing meetings via Teams.
• Oversee deliverables against the communication plan, crafting or coordinating clearly articulated messages that prepare and motivate users for adopting the change.
• Oversee development of training materials or coordinate with training resources to help ensure users have the knowledge and ability necessary to successfully adopt changes; deliver training as needed.
• Lead or help manage other OCM resources, which may be client employees, contractors, another consulting company’s resources and/or software vendor representatives.
• Identify and document the key areas in need of improvement and provide recommendations of tools or processes needed to address the improvements.
• Assess, manage, and communicate areas of change risk based on readiness, resistance, and adoption maturity.
• Oversee training execution to monitor adoption and develop responsive action plans to close gaps.
• Communicate critical client feedback to project development, business, and management teams.
• Communicate and escalate project risks and issues, as needed, that may have a negative impact on the project schedule, scope, and/or budget.
• Identify resistance and/or performance gaps; develop and implement responsive action plans.
• Provide status to different levels of the organization.
• Answer client questions and locate answers to technical or complex inquiries; engage Subject Matter Experts, as needed.
• Identify ways to expand existing client relationships and form new relationships.
• Support internal projects to standardize project approaches, methodologies, and templates.
• Support the creation of training and education deployment plans and documents, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and User Guide materials.
• Support IT technical and functional testing processes.
• Complete assigned and agreed to work within the allotted time and with a high level of quality.
• Remain delivery focused throughout each engagement.
Requirements:
• Experience developing and maintaining key change management tools: Change Impact Analysis, Stakeholder Analysis, Communications Plan, Stakeholder Management Plan, etc.
• Strong understanding of organizational change with specific software system implementations experience; transportation management systems (TMS) supply chain software is a plus.
• Knowledge of the different modes of transportation business operations including Truckload, LTL, Ocean, Air, Rail, Intermodal, and Parcel.
• Experience with project management and planning software, such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to support resolution of any issues that occur during project completion.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business Management, Project Management, or Engineering preferred
• 5+ years of technology implementation experience, including leading OCM activities through the project phases of planning, design, build, testing, training, deployment, and hypercare
• Experience in leading and supervising direct or indirect staff, virtual teams, services networks, and vendor relationships, when applicable
• Experience in Management Consulting, or TMS preferred
• Mentorship experience
• Formal training and certification in a recognized OCM methodology, preferred
