OB/GYN Program Director – Build Residency Program NE NJ Near NYC
Job Description
Seeking a full-time Board-Certified OBGYN physician to serve as the Residency Program Director for a newly established OBGYN residency program affiliated with New York Medical College. This is a unique opportunity to take on a true founding leadership role, shaping the future of graduate medical education while maintaining an active clinical practice in a supportive, state-of-the-art environment near New York City.
Leadership Role & Key Responsibilities:
- Founding leadership role with direct impact on program design, structure, and curriculum development
- 50% clinical / 50% administrative and teaching responsibilities
- Establish and maintain ACGME-accredited residency program requirements and processes
- Oversee curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and program infrastructure
- Provide didactic teaching, bedside instruction, and resident mentorship
- Lead resident recruitment, interviews, evaluations, and performance feedback
- Dedicated administrative time (~80 hours/month) for teaching and program oversight
- Strong academic affiliation with institutional support for education and research
