Job Description

We are currently hiring a Nursing Home Administrator located in Glen Hazel, PA.

Summary:

This position directs the day-to-day functions for the regional center and manages all aspects of the Center’s operations to ensure that the safety and comfort of the residents is maintained, and the monitoring of services providers. Work is performed in accordance with Federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term facilities to ensure that high quality care is provided to all residents, and under the direction of the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the regional center’s programs and activities.
  2. Interpret and apply written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the regional center. Review policies and procedures that govern the operation of the regional center.
  3. Assure that each resident receives the necessary nursing, medical, and psychosocial services. To attain and maintain the highest possible mental and physical functional status, as defined by the comprehensive assessment and care plan.
  4. Conduct inspections of the regional center to assure compliance with Federal, state, and local requirements.
  5. Serves on various committees, such as Infection Control, Safety, and Quality Assurance and provide oral and written reports to the Executive Director and/pr licensing agencies.
  6. Consult department managers concerning the operation of their departments and oversee the schedule of staff to ensure that an adequate number of staff are on duty.
  7. Assures that all regional center personnel and residents follow established safety regulations and that the building and grounds are maintained in good condition.
  8. Prepare an annual operating budget for approval by the Executive Director and allocate the resources to carry out programs and activities of the regional center.
  9. Review residents’ complaints and grievances, make written reports of actions taken, and discuss with residents and family, as appropriate.
  10. Participate in meetings and represent the regional center in dealing with outside agencies and community groups.
  11. Participate actively in efforts to recruit residents and maintain census levels.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Knowledge of reimbursement regulations and nursing practices and procedures, as well as regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care administration.
  2. Knowledge of laws, regulations and guidelines governing personal administration.
  3. Skill in communicating with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the public.
  4. Ability to read and interpret financial records and reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in public health administration, hospital administration, business administration or a health-related field.

Four years of experience in a managerial capacity in a hospital or long-term care facility.

Possession of a current Pennsylvania Nursing Home Administrator’s license is required.
