Nurse Practitioner
Harbinger Network has partnered with a Well Established Community Based healthcare Team to assist in finding a Nurse Practitioner to join their Community Outreach team. This role is perfect for someone who is newly into their career as a Nurse Practitioner, and looking to make a real difference in the community. All training will be provided, and full support both from Management and site staff.
This role offers a day shift with 1 biweekly evening shift, with flexible work hours, and a creative and open access to the community within the KW area.
You will be:
- hosting medical clinics
- working with a team of individuals
- complete home visits as needed
- working to maintain strict privacy and confidentiality protocols
- assisting individuals designated as part of vulnerable communities
- approach situations with empathy
- lead vaccination clinics
- liase with other primary care resources
- working for a manager that has been in the field for the past 7 years and understands the community and role

What do you bring to the table?
- completion of a recognized Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program
- Baccalaureate Nursing Degree with Extended Class registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
- you must have your own vehicle, drivers license and insurance
- ideally you have experience as a Primary Care NP working with all ages in a community health setting
- awareness of the Index of Well-Being and the impact social isolation has on the health of clients and community participants
- exemplary emotional intelligence, communication, conflict management, and problem-solving skills
- skilled in setting and maintaining strong boundaries with client
- excellent English written and oral communication skills. Second language is an asset
- proficiency in the use of computers and various software programs including Microsoft Office, email, and Internet
- ability to obtain a Police Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the Health Centre
