Position Overview:
A respected, non-profit community hospital just outside Pittsburgh is seeking a Nurse Manager for its Progressive Care Unit. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team in a collaborative and mission-driven environment, with the support of a larger regional health system.
The Opportunity:

Manage a 30+ bed PCU with 40+ FTEs
-
Oversee care for patients transitioning from ICU/CCU with diagnoses such as NSTEMIs, GI bleeds, and cancer-related complications

Ensure smooth operations and high-quality care in a unit that maintains a consistently high census

Drive improvements in patient outcomes, staff engagement, and operational efficiency

Responsibilities of PCU Manager (RN):

Lead daily operations of the PCU unit

Partner with Clinical Coordinators and charge nurses on both day and night shifts

Address staffing needs and recruit permanent team members
-
Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and evidence-based practice
Qualifications for PCU Manager (RN):
-
Associate’s degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
-
Minimum 3 years of RN experience in acute care hospital (recent PCU / Intermedicate / Tele / Stepdown RN experience)

Demonstrated leadership skills; approachable, team-oriented, and solutions-focused

Experience managing staffing, performance, and patient care quality preferred
Compensation & Benefits:

Salary up to $120,000, based on experience
