- Masters degree required but client will consider applicants enrolled in a program with less than a year to graduate.
- Three (3) to five (5) years progressive leadership experience.
- Experience working in an PACU required.
- Current New York State License as a Registered Professional Nurse
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- ACLS and PALS also required
- CEN certification preferred
- Completion of de-escalation training within 90 days of employment and every two years thereafter
- Knowledge of guidelines of the regulatory bodies - The Joint Commission, Department of Health and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

Our client takes care of its community in our 460+ bed hospital and via our network of family health centers, medical practices and other ambulatory care sites, located both on their main campus and throughout New Yorks neighborhoods.
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the operational management of the assigned Nursing Unit in collaboration with physician leadership. The Nurse Manager provides clinical and administrative leadership for the PACU Unit. The position requires PACU unit experience. Participates in the strategic planning for the department. The Nurse Manager manages the activities of the PACU Unit and ensures all operations are in compliance with clinical guidelines. Has accountability for nursing services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
