Qualifications:
- Certification from a nationally accredited authority in advanced diagnostic imaging or a comparable credential required.
- Valid licensure for imaging-related practice within the state of employment required.
- Basic life support certification to be obtained within 30 days of commencement.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Execute sophisticated imaging procedures to produce precise diagnostic results, adhering to established protocols.
- Deliver exceptional patient care and procedural education while maintaining meticulous records and documentation.
- Participate in departmental initiatives for continuous improvement and uphold rigorous standards for safety and infection prevention.
- Perform both routine and emergent imaging tasks utilizing cutting-edge technology, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and institutional guidelines.
- Oversee the procurement, preparation, storage, and administration of diagnostic agents in accordance with procedural standards.
- Prepare patients and procedural environments, fostering a professional, empathetic, and reassuring atmosphere. Provide clear, concise education to patients and their families regarding diagnostic processes.
- Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and appropriateness of care delivery.
- Manage electronic and manual records for patient care, departmental operations, and institutional systems, executing associated administrative tasks and maintaining supply inventories.
- Conduct equipment quality assurance and documentation per protocol, perform preventative maintenance, and promptly report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Engage with patients and families with professionalism, dignity, and confidentiality, offering articulate explanations and support as required.
