Job Description
My client, a small healthcare facility in Coastal WA, about an hour west from Olympia, has a need for a Nuclear Medicine Tech to join their team. The hospital is located on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula of Washington State, twenty miles from the Pacific Ocean. Close to numerous recreational and cultural activities, they enjoy a moderate marine climate with dry, warm summers and mild winters. Their location is ideal for rural living but within a short drive to Olympia, Seattle or Portland.

Performs general nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology imaging.
Shift: 7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday
Responsibilities
- Collect key information from the patient, family, provider, and nurses that are specific to the exam being performed in order to assist the provider in the proper diagnosis.
- Educate patient, family or provider as to the extent and detail of each procedure, including informed consent as well as pre-and post-procedure instructions.
- Ensure the proper exam and medication (as needed) is being administered to the patient. Consult provider as needed.
- Order, prepare and administer radiopharmaceutical/brachytherapy doses as needed.
- Perform cardiovascular stress testing under supervision of provider.
- Adhere to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) guidelines.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of all supplies as required. Perform daily equipment inspections and quality control.
- Assist provider during therapeutic and invasive procedures.
- Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Practice guidelines specific to ALARA policy (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).
- Participate in call rotation as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
The technologist must be currently registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification board(NMTCB)and hold the equivalent state license for Nuclear Medicine.
Salary range is $38.12 - $61.30/hr based upon union contract.
