Nuclear Medical Technologist

A respected healthcare organization in eastern Pennsylvania is seeking a Nuclear Medical Technologist for inpatient service. Position Summary:

This role involves preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients, operating nuclear imaging equipment, and supporting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. You’ll be part of a dedicated team delivering exceptional care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nuclear cardiology procedures, including patient education and monitoring.

  • Operate sophisticated imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images.

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals via injection or inhalation.

  • Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed, including radiation protection.

  • Manage radiopharmaceutical inventory, handling, and disposal.

  • Maintain documentation, records, and support quality assurance activities.

  • Participate in on-call rotation as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine

  • 1+ year of experience in a hospital setting

  • Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

  • CNMT (NMTCB) or RT(N) certification (ARRT) – valid in the state of Pennsylvania

  • Proficiency in using nuclear medicine equipment and understanding radiation safety

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, perform frequent sitting/standing, and occasional bending/squatting depending on patient needs. CPR certification and ability to respond in emergency situations may be required.
