Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Dallas, Texas, Operations Manager for a nationwide logistics company with over 100 locations and thousands of independent-owner operator drivers providing services to include dedicated fleet-outsourcing, hot shot delivery, logistics, and courier.
The Network Manager is responsible for supervising and handling the organization’s dock and operations in Dallas, Texas. Will manage customer accounts, dispatchers, customer service representatives, driver routes, and all driver issues within the region. Prospects, presents, negotiates, and closes new business. Maintains and develops relationships with current customers, to include upselling additional services and getting referrals for potential opportunities. Owner operator engagement to include daily review of route paperwork such as to ensure every delivery has a signature, CODs are collected, and collection notices are completed. Supervises compliance with scanning procedures. Processes CODs for return customers, ensuring each COD is signed by customer, and communicates details with customer if a COD is not collected. Addresses and solves issues for customers and owner operators. Gains a clear understanding of current business and service requirements for operations to support customers and meet expectations. Works in conjunction with Corporate accounting staff regarding customer invoicing, vendor payments and COG efficiencies. Maintains weekly operations reports for region and submits to corporate office.

Background Required:
  • Transportation, Logistics, or Freight Forwarding (5 years)
  • Management & leadership experience (3 years)
  • Multimodal (e.g., FTL-LTL, Final Mile, Domestic Freight Forwarding, Hotshot, Expedite)
  • Business Plan implementation
  • Negotiations
  • Metrics measurements (e.g., pricing, delivery, costs, quality)
  • Computer Systems: Microsoft Office Suite and Mapping/Routing Software (e.g., MS Streets and Trips)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Residence: Dallas, TX
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or management

  • Domestic Freight Forwarding operations, multiple sites, national level
