Direct Hire role with our client located in Pittsburgh, PA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Guide the development and execution of enterprise network strategies that enhance security, efficiency, and scalability.
• Architect end-to-end solutions that support hybrid environments, ensuring secure integration between on-prem systems and cloud services.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align infrastructure capabilities with organizational goals and evolving technology demands.
• Champion the adoption of automation and orchestration tools to streamline network operations and reduce manual effort.
• Serve as a senior voice in architectural governance, helping to define and uphold technical standards across the organization.
• Lead the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects in agile, fast-paced environments.
• Evaluate and improve current infrastructure designs to reduce risk, enhance performance, and increase business continuity readiness.
• Act as a trusted advisor for cybersecurity and compliance best practices related to network and cloud platforms.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to optimize existing technologies and integrate new solutions where beneficial.
• Stay informed of industry trends, emerging tools, and evolving practices in cloud networking, infrastructure as code, and network security.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise network architecture, systems design, or related fields, with demonstrated leadership in both strategic planning and hands-on implementation.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, AWS, Azure) are highly valued.
• Proven track record building and securing networks in hybrid (cloud/on-prem) environments.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols, encryption methods, firewall technologies, and identity-aware networking.
• Strong grasp of cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their native networking services.
• Experience implementing infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.
• Skilled at simplifying complex architectures for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid knowledge of risk management, change control processes, and regulatory compliance as it relates to IT infrastructure.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project leadership skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to juggle competing priorities and drive initiatives through to completion.
