National Sales Manager
Job Description
Join the team as a National Sales Manager (NSM), where you’ll take the lead in driving new business and managing key accounts in the western U.S. for a company built on 62 years of lean leadership, continuous improvement, and strong communication!
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales hunter with deep industry experience in Medical Device, Life Science, or Biopharma sectors.
Responsibilities:
Joining an accountability-focused team environment where results are expected whether given or received.
Closing new sales is the primary key performance metric of this position. This is achieved by building and maintaining a sales pipeline of “real” opportunities 5x’s the annual sales growth goal.
Following an effective and efficient company selling system to consistently achieve desired outcomes.
Actively researching, prospecting, and networking for new business opportunities.
Measuring, tracking activity and achieving individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
Providing accurate monthly forecasts and reports, including maintaining and updating Company CRM.
Preparing and hosting one-on-one meetings to review your results, pipeline and next step activity.
Delivering high-level presentations by holding meetings and/or virtual calls with existing and prospective customers.
Utilizing the Sales Support Staff and Internal Stakeholders for effective management of all projects and tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
The candidate must be a hungry, likeable individual who possesses an expertise in developing new business within biopharmaceutical and/or medical device OEM’s.
Skilled at developing and managing multiple projects simultaneously through multi-tasking with a sense of urgency for goal achievement.
People and relationship focused. Has the ability to inspire, motivate others, and engage their commitment.
Involve others in the decision-making process through a collaborative approach while assuming the responsibility for risk in the process.
Extroverted, warm, enthusiastic, empathetic with a stimulating communication style, i.e. persuasive “selling” style through a collaborative approach.
A leader based on the ability to motivate others.
Strong commitment to results.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS, or Master’s degree in business-related field or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 5–10 years in a sales or commercial leadership role, ideally within the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries.
Ability to travel as required (including overnight) approximately 20%–40% of the time.
