Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President, Operations for a regional transportation provider.

The National Sales Executive is a hunter responsible for developing new business by researching, identifying, and securing new customers. The goal is to generate new NAFTA-USMCA corridor business annually; as well as manage existing accounts. Effectively communicates business model to current and potential customers throughout Texas, US Midwest Region, Mexico, and Canada. Onboards new customers, ensuring a smooth transition. Grows load counts with current customers. Bring solutions to the table for closing new business, knowing when to escalate. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, and presentation(s), start-up, and customer service follow-up after the sale. Acts as a representative of the company at industry events to network with industry leaders and prospect possible business opportunities. Advocates for customers and help drive a customer service mentality within the company. Assists with customer bids and marketing materials. Evaluate and process RFPs & RFQs. Assists with other requests made of the Sales Department. Travel 25 %.

Background Required:
  • Transportation sales (cross border Laredo freight & JIT-just in time) (3 years)
