Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Brokerage of a privately-owned 3PL specializing in full-service solutions that are flexible and customizable, designed to adapt quickly to the demands of business and an ever-changing economic landscape.
The National Sales Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing the Brokerage customer base, generating sales, and developing advantageous pricing strategies. Will meet face-to-face with current and potential customers and develop a pipeline of prospects and new business. Work with the assigned office and Account Manager to strategize growth and develop transportation and logistics plans. Become a partner to the organization’s customers and identify gaps that match up with service offerings.

Background Required:
  • Outside sales / Business Development within freight brokerage (4+ years)
  • Modes of Transportation (i.e. Truckload, LTL, IML services, International)
  • Negotiations (Carrier, Customer)
  • KPI Management
  • Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for quotations (RFQs)
  • Metrics measurements (i.e. pricing, delivery, costs, quality, audits)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Residence: USA
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Salesforce.com

  • Excellent communications (i.e. verbal, written, presentations)
