Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Maintenance of a diverse transportation solutions provider.

The National Parts Manager responsible for optimizing an inventory of over $15 million of parts analyzing product flow and levels. Leads a team of 4 direct reports 26 indirect reports to foster an exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities. Identifying opportunities to expand or shift courses in order to take advantage of changes in the market. Directs long-term planning to create initiatives that further the company’s overall goals. Assess and analyzes department, to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profits. Identifies potential problems and points of friction and works to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency and revenue. Optimize the flow of inventory by analyzing inventory usage. Effectively negotiate deals with some of the largest vendors in the country. Be a problem solver that will analyze market trends & the department to make the best decision for the company. Goal is to overhaul culture & process for entire parts department Travel 25%

Background Required:
  • Leadership (5 years)
  • Vendor relations and negotiations (onsite & on-the-road)
  • Recruit, train, & mentor associates
  • Annual budgets and forecast
  • Strong business knowledge and acumen
  • Analytics & analysis to develop practices & procedures (SOP’s)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Location: St. Louis , MO (relocation assistance)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • VMRS coding
  • Inventory management: Parts management, procurement & warranty
  • Experience in global sourcing
  • Education: bachelor’s degree
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
  • Excellent communication (i.e. verbal, written, listening, presentations)
  • High energy leadership with strong team orientation and change management in a rapidly growing organization
  • Capability to view decisions from a strategic point of view
  • Able to multi-task
