We’re partnering with a household name in the meat industry to identify a talented and experienced National Account Manager to join their retail sales team in the Western U.S. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, this high-visibility role offers a clear path to Director-level advancement for the right candidate.

This is an exciting time to join the business—several competitors have recently exited the category, opening up significant opportunities for growth. The incoming NAM will take over a well-established book of business, including key accounts such as Albertsons, SaveMart, Lucky’s, Bashas, Raley’s, Stater Bros., and UNFI.

The ideal candidate will bring recent experience in branded retail sales, a proven track record of success, and be located within the region—preferably in California, Colorado, or Arizona.

Preferred Background and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent (i.e., Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, etc.)
  2. 5+ years of relevant protein sales experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role.
  3. Thorough understanding of the entire sales cycle, particularly within the food processing industry, specific to retail/grocery.
  4. Established history of fostering strong relationships with customers, brokers, and vendors
  5. Experienced in sales planning, forecasting, and execution with a proven ability to execute strategic plans that increase sales volume and margin

  6. Ability to effectively evaluate, interpret, and gain insights from syndicated data
