The NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Technician position is an achieved role upon completing technical training and obtaining good knowledge of MPI, FPI, and Ultrasonic testing engine parts and components. The NDT Technician must have the ability to perform NDT work and possess the minimum of Level II for Magnetic Particle Testing [MT] and Penetrant Testing [PT] based on the current CGSB standards for these particular disciplines. This position is responsible for performing Magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing and ultrasonic inspections on engine and airframe piece parts or assemblies based on CGSB standards and accessories shop, including quality assurance measures, and company policies and procedures. A Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician would be someone who has excellent mechanical aptitude, has strong attention to detail and able to communicate complicated technical ideas with precision and clarity. Most importantly, they would need to have good physical mobility, as well as be able to lift heavy objects and handle production pressures calmly. Department: Aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul
We are looking for a total of two (2) Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technicians to join our Delta-based client in the aviation/aircraft engineering and maintenance industry. Reporting to the Team Leader, the role will be responsible for performing Magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing and ultrasonic inspections on engine and airframe piece parts or assemblies based on CGSB standards and accessories shop, including quality assurance measures, and company policies and procedures.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess the qualifications of an NDT Technician;
- Must have the ability to perform NDT work and possess the minimum of Level II for Magnetic Particle Testing [MT] and Penetrant Testing [PT] based on the current CGSB standards for these particular disciplines;
- Must be Self-motivated and results-oriented with a focus on quality
Preferred Applications:
- Good knowledge of MPI, FPI, and Ultrasonic testing engine parts and components;
- Ability to make excellent decisions and set appropriate priorities;
- Excellent listening, verbal, written, communication and collaborative problem-solving skills;
- Demonstrated team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively provides feedback to the Lead regarding findings, quality & quantity.
- Perform daily tasks and other duties as assigned from a Lead.
- Ensure all RIS inspections pertaining to NDT are carried out and signed for.
- Ensure tasks/gate deadline(s) set by the Lead/Team Leader are met.
- Responsible to immediately re-prioritize their task list in conjunction with the Lead/Team Leader in the event of an work change.
- Proactively involve oneself in process optimization.
- Implement/provide practical training to others.
- Effectively carry out the duties of the position with a minimum of supervision.
- Apply good knowledge of MPI, FPI, and Ultrasonic testing engine parts and components.
Working Conditions:
- Works in the Workshops, with light physical demands and moderate exposure to hazards
- Some exposure to noise, fumes, gas, chemicals, dust or dirt
- Occasionally exposed to temperature fluctuations or humidity
- Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
- Working on the shop floor may require frequent lifting of materials up to 50 or 60 lbs
The selection process will consist of an interview and skills assessment.
NOTE: NDT TECHNICIANS MAY BE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW STANDARD WORK SHIFT ROTATION. THOSE UNABLE TO DO SO WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM THE COMPETITION.
