Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, Americas for one of the world’s largest and most innovative integrated logistics organizations. Our client has a dedicated team of 80,000+ employees operating in 130 countries committed to delivering truly integrated global logistics to connect and simplify our customers supply chains.

The Head of Terminal Procurement-NAM As the Head of Terminals Procurement for North America, you will lead a team of Terminal Portfolio Managers, working together with a diverse team of professionals within the Americas Region, with overall responsibility for sourcing strategy for our client’s Ocean Terminals Portfolio in the USA and Canada, owning a spend of USD 2.3 bn annually, spread across the continent.

As the leader of your team comprising of Sourcing Professionals and Category Management Experts, you will engage with a myriad of leaders and internal stakeholders who will play specific roles to help you manage the portfolio professionally to bring our Terminal Strategy vision to life.

Background Required:
  • Marine Terminal Procurement (5 yrs)
  • Market knowledge of Terminal owners
  • People leadership & team development
  • Performance Management
  • Demonstrated Global trade & functional acumen
  • Internal stakeholder management
  • Supplier relationship management & contract management
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Residence: Greater Charlotte area preferred but will consider other major logistics markets
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Direct shipping, terminal or rail experience
  • Environmental, Social & Governance experience
  • Digital procurement tools
