We’re hiring a Multifamily Development Project Manager to oversee ground-up multifamily projects in Bergen and Hudson counties, New Jersey. This is a newly created role, offering a unique opportunity to step in early and make a meaningful impact on high-quality residential developments.

This position is ideal for a hands-on real estate development professional who knows multifamily inside and out—from early planning and design coordination through construction, delivery, and close-out. You’ll manage 1–2 projects at a time, working closely with ownership, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

While experience with affordable housing is a plus, it is not required—strong multifamily development experience is a must.

What You’ll Do

• Manage ground-up multifamily development projects from concept through completion
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and municipalities during predevelopment and design phases
• Oversee construction activities, including contractor management, schedules, budgets, and quality control
• Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables to ensure timely and successful delivery
• Serve as a key liaison between ownership, development partners, and external teams
• Conduct regular site visits and travel to project locations as needed
• Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a real estate development project manager
• Multifamily development and construction experience is required (affordable housing experience is a plus)
• Demonstrated success managing projects from preconstruction through delivery
• Strong understanding of construction processes, budgeting, and scheduling
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in an in-office environment with regular site travel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently (this role has no direct reports)
