Multi-Site EHS Manager - Nashville Area

We are seeking a dynamic Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our EHS operations across three production plants located in Tennessee and Kentucky, with a primary focus on our largest facility in Nashville. Reporting to the Director of Operations and supervising an EHS Generalist, this vital role is geared towards candidates who are proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to step into a high-impact position. As an EHS Manager, you will drive the development and implementation of comprehensive safety and environmental programs, enhancing our safety culture, and aligning with corporate EHS strategies to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Salary: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the EHS function with an 80% focus on safety & health and 20% on environmental aspects.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction at the sites, prioritizing safety and compliance enhancements.
  • Develop and enforce safety programs including ergonomics and machine guarding, among others.
  • Engage with manufacturing and plant leadership to foster a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Roll out corporate EHS programs and systems with a hands-on approach to facilitate change.
  • Create engagement and integrate EHS practices into daily operations across multiple sites.
  • Mentor and coach the EHS staff, empowering them to take proactive measures in safety management.
  • Present EHS metrics and progress to executive leadership, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in safety, environmental science, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of five years industrial safety and environmental experience within manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing direct reports and leading a team.
  • Deep knowledge of environmental compliance and safety regulations.
  • Residency in or ability to relocate to the Nashville, Tennessee area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Certifications related to occupational health and safety, such as CSP or CIH.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems.
  • Proven track record of improving EHS metrics across multiple facilities.
