Mower Mechanic

Summit Employment is seeking a motivated individual for an entry-level Mower Mechanic position. This is a full-time, hands-on role perfect for someone eager to start a career in outdoor power equipment repair.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on Bad Boy and Kubota zero-turn lawn mowers
• Perform basic maintenance, seasonal services, and pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain systems under the guidance of experienced technicians
• Conduct engine tune-ups and basic overhauls on gasoline and diesel engines
• Weld, fabricate, and repair mower decks and attachments as skills develop
• Accurately document work performed using our service software
• Keep shop and work areas clean, safe, and organized

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn
• Basic knowledge of small engines, hydraulics, or electrical systems is a plus, but not required
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics (training provided)
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools (shop will provide specialized equipment)
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a focus on quality work
• Provide basic tools
• Able to drive a forklift
