The Agency is excited to partner with our client, a well-established and reputable financial institution, to find a skilled and dedicated Mortgage Loan Officer to join their team. In this role, the Mortgage Loan Officer will be responsible for assisting clients throughout the home loan process, from pre-approval to closing. This individual will work closely with prospective borrowers to evaluate their financial situation, provide expert advice on loan options, and facilitate a seamless loan application process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in determining their eligibility for mortgage loans by assessing their financial status, credit history, and goals.
- Provide guidance on various mortgage products, such as fixed-rate, adjustable-rate, FHA, and VA loans.
- Collect and analyze financial documents, including income verification, credit reports, and tax returns.
- Present loan options to clients, explaining terms, interest rates, and repayment schedules.
- Guide clients through the loan application process, ensuring all required information is accurately provided and submitted.
- Communicate with underwriters, appraisers, and other parties involved in the loan process to ensure timely processing.
- Stay up-to-date on current mortgage industry trends, interest rates, and regulatory changes.
- Maintain knowledge of lending products and offer solutions that best meet the client's needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other industry professionals to generate leads and referrals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Review and verify loan documents to ensure accuracy and completeness before closing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience as a mortgage loan officer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, loan regulations, and industry practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of clients and transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Licensed mortgage loan officer (in compliance with state requirements).
