Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Closer to join our in-house mortgage team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in closing and documenting loans, especially those sold in the secondary market. This is an on-site position, requiring close collaboration with loan officers, underwriters, and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review closing documents for mortgage loans in accordance with bank, investor, and regulatory guidelines.

Coordinate and schedule loan closings with title companies, attorneys, borrowers, and internal staff.

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documentation prior to closing and funding.

Work with loan officers and processors to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the closing process.

Handle post-closing follow-up as needed, including document delivery and tracking.

Maintain compliance with secondary market mortgage requirements.

Answer customer questions related to closing procedures and provide excellent service when interacting with borrowers.

Collaborate closely with team members in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of mortgage loan closing experience, with strong knowledge of secondary market mortgage requirements.

Proficient in reviewing and understanding loan documentation and closing disclosures.

Experience with loan origination software; experience with Calyx or Empower preferred but not required.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

High level of attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Knowledge of applicable federal and state lending regulations.
