This role will be responsible for

  • Originating conventional and government residential mortgage loans
  • Building and maintaining referral relationships with realtors, builders, and developers
  • Acting as the main point of contact for applicants throughout the loan process
  • Structuring loan terms based on credit risk and underwriting standards
  • Facilitating communication with attorneys, title companies, and related professionals
  • Ensuring all loan documentation and processing complies with regulatory requirements

Expectations will include

  • Meeting minimum production goals through proactive outreach and networking
  • Attending open houses, industry events, and community functions
  • Explaining loan products, terms, and disclosures in a clear, compliant manner
  • Conducting borrower interviews, collecting necessary documentation, and completing credit analyses
  • Supporting fraud detection, loan compliance, and risk management practices
  • Maintaining strong knowledge of real estate market trends and mortgage regulations

A qualified candidate will possess the following

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of related experience in mortgage lending or financial services
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to meet clients and attend events
  • Active registration and good standing with the NMLS Registry (required upon hire)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-specific software (e.g., Encompass, LaserPro)
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first attitude
