Molding Manager - Injection Molding
What You Will Do:
- Champion safety audits and corrective actions to attain a zero-accident environment.
- Communicate with management to establish safety, quality, production, cost metrics and production standards to align with the plant’s operating objectives / budget.
- Evaluate and determine when to stop production to correct quality problems and leads team’s activities ensuring a thorough root cause and corrective action.
- Plan and direct molding activities to meet customer delivery, internal or external quality requirements, to achieve expectations while sustaining effective operations and cost control.
- Coordinate molding activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimal production and utilization of human resources, machines, equipment and materials.
- Review and analyze molding, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
- Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to improve safety, profitability, cost, and waste elimination.
- Revise molding schedules and production scheduling priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems.
- Consult with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve operator safety, production and quality of products.
- Direct process group to apply corrective actions to processes or equipment which is affecting productivity in a negative way.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and rules.
- Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the plant’s policies and procedures to include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; evaluating performance; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Minimum 10 years of injection molding leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven results of Lean Methodology application to drive systematic improvements to department’s performance.
- RJG Master Molder Certification preferred.
- Proven results to drive a safety culture.
- Experience with IATF16949 preferred.
