Compensation

  • Hourly Pay $30.00-$34.00 per hour, based on experience.
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
  • Typical work week is 40-45 hours per week.

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday
  • Work 11:00am-8:00pm; work until work is completed. Typically 8-10 hours per day.
  • Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks and electronic vehicles
  • Properly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventory
  • Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals
  • Travel to locations to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with management, providing them with detailed breakdowns of service requirements and costs.
  • Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer's specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations)
  • Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of previous technical experience with Class 6 Light Duty Trucks and Vans.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot repairs using diagnostic systems.
  • ASE Certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience managing Preventative Maintenance schedules on trucks and vans.
  • Familiar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspections
  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds
  • Candidate must provide his/her own tools.
  • Valid driver's license may be required with no suspensions and/or revocations in connection with a moving violation within the past three (3) years. No CDL required.
