The Millwright position is an achieved role upon completing the BC Certificate of Apprenticeship and the BC Certificate of Qualification with Interprovincial Standard Endorsement (Red Seal) for the Millwright Trade. A successful Millwright candidate would have the ability to reading or interpret blueprints/drawings and manufacturers manuals, and the ability to use the machine shop, electrical, welding, pneumatics and power transmission as required for the maintenance and repair of equipment. The ideal Millwright would have a working experience with maintenance of the CNC Machines and TIG welding.
The Millwright role is primarily responsible for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of machinery, mechanical support, tooling, fixtures, and systems. In addition, the position will include installation and changes to shop layout as well as general building maintenance when required. A Millwright Associate would be someone who has strong attention to detail and able to communicate with precision and clarity. Most importantly, they would need to have good physical mobility, as well as be able to lift heavy objects and handle production pressures calmly. The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal/teamwork, organizational, and communication skills, both verbally and in writing. We are looking for an onsite Millwright for an Aviation Maintenance company that is located in Delta, British Columbia Canada. A successful Millwright candidate would have the ability to reading or interpret blueprints/drawings and manufacturers manuals, and the ability to use the machine shop, electrical, welding, pneumatics and power transmission as required for the maintenance and repair of equipment. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selection process will consist of an interview and skills assessment.
NOTE: MILLWRIGHTS MAY BE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW STANDARD WORK SHIFT ROTATION. THOSE UNABLE TO DO SO WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM THE COMPETITION.
