Our client, a Manufacturer of High Quality Hardwood and Softwood Mouldings and other specialty products for the Building and Woodworking Trades, is looking to add to their growing team by hiring a Millwork Branch Manager. Reporting to the Vice President, the Millwork Branch Manager manages all aspects of the company's operation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Present a friendly and accommodating atmosphere helping our customers determine their needs and facilitate their request efficiently and accurately
  • Present a professional appearance and abides by the guidelines outlined in the employee handbook
  • Confers with subordinate supervisors to establish production and quality control standards
  • Develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered
  • Has full profit and loss responsibility including sales budget and expected gross margin
  • Weekly meeting with subordinate supervisors to discuss operation, employee hours and staffing requirements
  • Has working knowledge of woodworking procedures and production millwork practices
  • Provides performance reviews for staff
  • Reviews credit memos and approve stock items for credit
  • Works with company president to develop yearly business plan and budget
  • Has full profit and loss responsibility including sales budget and expected gross margin
  • Must be well versed in and ensure that his staff follows safety procedures
  • Has a good working knowledge of the Bistrack system
  • Responsible for opening and closing store
  • Has a working knowledge of all stock material sold by the division
  • Has a good general knowledge of available special order product lines and from which vendors available
  • Responsible for an accurate accounting at year end inventory
  • Ultimately responsible for handling customers concerns and inquiries
  • Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four year college or university
  • 4-5 years related experience and/or training
