JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Mig Hand Welder in Wixom, MI. Our client provides custom pipe flaring and threading, and welding services.

Responsibilities of an Mig Hand Welder includes:

  • Provide a positive customer experience and meet or exceed expectations
  • Weld pipe to customer specifications using hand and automated methods
  • Read mechanical drawings to adjust machines and determine material needs
  • Operate machinery to produce products per customer requirements
  • Set stops/guides to specified lengths using scale, rule, or template
  • Monitor machine operation for defects or malfunctions
  • Measure workpieces for accuracy
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale
  • Thread pipe
  • Perform minor machine maintenance
  • Keep the work area clean and organized
  • Follow OSHA regulations
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Work safely

Job Requirements of an Mig Hand Welder:

  • Knowledge of company products and specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Skilled in MIG welding and operating fabrication machinery
  • Accurate measurement skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations for shop environments
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and stress management skills
  • Adaptable to fast-paced, changing environments
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Computer literate
  • Lift up to 50lbs

REQUIRED Experience and Education:
  • Combination of education and experience
  • High School Diploma
