Mid-Level Project Finance Associate

Our client is seeking a Mid-Level Project Finance Associate to join their dynamic team. This role requires a professional with substantial experience in renewable energy finance and a keen understanding of complex transactions in this growing sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working on tax credit transactions, project financing, and conducting comprehensive due diligence.

This is NOT a remote position. Candidate must be willing and able to work onsite within one of the following locations: Houston, Los Angeles, Madison, Milwaukee, New York, or Washington DC*

Focus:

  • Lead and support renewable energy finance transactions, including managing all aspects of project finance and tax credit deals.
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalize complex transaction agreements, such as credit facilities and tax equity financing documents.
  • Conduct and oversee comprehensive due diligence, including the review of project contracts and coordination with subject-matter experts.
  • Manage and facilitate transaction closings, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.

Skill Set:

  • 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy transactions, particularly within project finance and tax credit structures.
  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating transaction documentation, with a focus on credit agreements, tax equity documents, and project-related contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy legal frameworks and experience in overseeing due diligence for these transactions.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership and good standing in the jurisdiction(s) of practice.
  • Experience working with various renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and other sustainable energy initiatives preferred.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
