Salary: $235,000 - $365,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Counsel clients on various construction law matters, focusing on contract drafting, negotiation, and the intricacies of dispute resolution.
- Lead representation in alternative dispute resolution settings and manage litigation processes for construction disputes across state and federal jurisdictions.
- Oversee all litigation aspects, including but not limited to motion practice, discovery processes, and preparing for trials.
- Collaborate and strategize with an experienced team of attorneys on complex and consequential construction law cases.
- Constant communication with clients to ensure comprehensive resolution of disputes while maintaining the highest standards of legal service.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- JD from a top-tier law school with notable academic achievement.
- Active Bar Membership in Illinois is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction law or equivalent complex litigation settings.
- Proven track record in handling major construction disputes, including delay and disruption claims, payment disputes, and contract breaches.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in AmLaw 100 law firms or equivalent renowned legal settings.
- Judicial clerkship experience highly regarded.
- Broad experience in litigation, including motion practice and discovery proceedings.
