  • Follow all plant and departmental safety rules.
  • Interpretation of customer specs to mill product applications.
  • Design thermo-mechanical processing procedures.
  • Analyze microstructures and Met Mech Property relationships.
  • Monitor product conformance trends.

  • Train manufacturing personnel.
  • Follow trials through production unit.
  • Certify mechanical props prior to shipment of material.
  • Aid in the reduction of manufacturing costs through improved processing and procedures.
  • Improve product yield and quality.
  • Work to expand unit capability.
  • All other duties as required.

  • BS/MS in Material Science/Metallurgy/Chemistry
  • OJT experience preferred
  • Good knowledge of customer specifications and how they relate to internal specifications
  • Ability to work with personnel from many different departments
  • Strong leadership and analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
  • Good technical capability.
  • Insight into team dynamics.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects effectively.
  • Must be able to promote a harmonious work environment and have a positive attitude.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Software

  • 2 to 5 years experience in Metallurgy
