We are searching for a Metallurgical Engineer to join our client's growing team.

Basic responsibilities of the Metallurgical Engineer include:
  • Developing practices to improve safety, quality, efficiency, yield, productivity, and costs
  • Developing and optimizing process and product development
  • Leading quality improvement efforts
  • Utilizing statistical tools to direct continuous improvement activities
  • Working closely with operations and providing training to operating personnel
  • Providing metallurgical assistance to technical service representatives and customers
Qualifications for the position include:
  • Bachelor of Science in Metallurgy or Materials Science Engineering or similar technical field
  • A strong commitment to safety in all job aspects
  • Dedication to continuous improvement within the department
  • Commitment to cost reduction and product quality
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications for the position include:
  • Prior experience in steel making, continuous casting, hot rolling, cold rolling, or galvanizing.
