Medical Imaging Service Engineer - X-ray/Mammography Focus

We are seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Service Engineer to join our team. A successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise in maintenance and troubleshooting of various medical imaging systems including Hologic mammography units. This role focuses on delivering exceptional maintenance and repair services, ensuring operational excellence in a variety of health care settings. With a commitment to improving patient care through advanced imaging technology, the role is crucial in maintaining the reliability and effectiveness of diagnostic imaging equipment.

Salary: DOE per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs on medical imaging equipment, with a special emphasis on Hologic mammography units.
  • Calibrate and adjust medical imaging systems to ensure they meet industry and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues related to radiology and fluoroscopy equipment, including CR, Portables, C-Arms, conventional X-Ray, R&F, and ultrasound systems.
  • Document service actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Provide first-class customer service, addressing client's questions and ensuring their needs are met with respect to imaging equipment functionality and performance.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and manage logistics of part ordering and shipping.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and best industry practices.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in servicing and troubleshooting medical imaging equipment.
  • Associate's degree or higher in Electronics Technology or equivalent military training/experience.
  • Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work legally in the US without visa sponsorship.
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience specifically servicing Hologic mammography equipment.
  • Additional certifications such as CRES are highly regarded.

Skills:

  • Outstanding diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong understanding of electronic and mechanical systems in a medical imaging context.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, able to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical personnel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
