Description

The Medical Group Administrator provides day-to-day operational leadership across ambulatory practices, partners closely with physicians and leadership, and plays a key role in improving financial performance, operational efficiency, and enterprise alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operations for a multi-specialty medical group

• Oversee daily administrative and ambulatory practice functions

• Assess financial performance, cost structure, and operational efficiency

• Identify and address underperforming practices or service lines

• Support right-sizing, stabilization, and performance improvement efforts

• Lead through post-acquisition transition and organizational change

• Serve as a trusted administrative partner to physicians and practice leaders

• Collaborate with system operations, finance, HR, and clinical teams

Qualifications

Required

• Proven experience leading medical group or ambulatory operations

• Background in multi-specialty environments

• Strong operational and financial acumen

• Demonstrated success leading through change, transition, or restructuring

Preferred

• Experience with health system acquisitions or integrations

• Background in turnaround, stabilization, or right-sizing initiatives

• Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
