Salary: $36,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers in delivering patient care in a physician office setting.
  • Act as the primary liaison between patients, families, staff, and providers.
  • Facilitate efficient workflow by managing medical records, scheduling, and communications.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidential patient information by following the appropriate protocols and regulations.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician according to the established procedures.
  • Perform routine diagnostic and clinical testing procedures.
  • Engage in patient education and counseling to ensure patients understand their disease and treatment plans.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Medical Assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants or Registered through The American Registry of Medical Assistants.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a related healthcare setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare software and systems, particularly EPIC EMR systems.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a hospital or primary care setting is highly preferred.
  • Additional certifications related to healthcare and patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and protocol.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to accommodate a diverse patient base.
