We are searching for Mechanical Supervisor to join our client's growing team.

Basic responsibilities of the Mechanical Supervisor include:
  • Providing leadership in safety, reliability, quality, costs and project management.
  • Providing team development and overall direction for the facility’s mechanical maintenance standards and procedures
  • Responsible for the development and execution of reliability based maintenance programs to ensure optimum performance of equipment
  • Overseeing all mechanical systems including steel making production equipment and material handling systems
Qualifications for the position include:
  • Minimum 2 year degree in mechanical discipline or equivalent technical training and experience
  • 5+ years work experience in mechanical maintenance or equivalent technical experience
  • 3+ years maintenance supervisory experience in team development, mechanical maintenance and project management
  • Proven knowledge of mechanical maintenance and engineering fundamentals
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem solving skills with the ability to take initiative and find solutions
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and team-building experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze data, think strategically and make decisions
  • Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment
  • Proven understanding of basic electrical principles
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Project Management experience
  • Four year degree in engineering or related technical field
  • Advanced training/certifications in Mechanical maintenance
  • Prior mechanical maintenance or operational experience in steel making
  • Track record of continual growth and development
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
