Mechanical Project Engineer - Sanitary Piping

Salary: Up to $90,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget
  • Scheduling and budgeting a wide range of custom engineering projects
  • Creating, engineering, fabricating, and testing custom engineering projects, from concept to delivery
  • Reviewing detailed custom engineering 3D SolidWorks drawings to ensure accuracy and viability
  • Maintaining effective communication with various vendors, customers, and internal teams
  • Working collaboratively with other engineers and production teams to ensure project efficiency
  • Developing and maintaining the Production Ready Library and overseeing the creation of Engineering Change Notices
  • Constructing comprehensive bills of materials and coordinating project integrations
  • Supervising installations and problem-solving on site to provide technical leadership and support

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience as a Project Engineer in a relevant field such as biotechnology, food, or pharmaceuticals with a focus on sanitary piping
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • At least two years of experience with Microsoft Excel for project tracking and reporting
  • Proficiency in managing multiple, concurrent projects in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated solid work history with a commitment to project and job fidelity
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a Green Card
  • Residence within 45 minutes of the worksite in Whitewater, Wisconsin Area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within engineering projects
  • Advanced certification or training in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP)
  • Knowledge of CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for drafting and reviewing project designs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all project stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address engineering challenges
