Mechanical Engineering Applications Engineer

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Spend approximately 30% of the workday managing customer interaction, handling 20-25 phone calls daily.
  • Apply technical engineering knowledge specifically tailored to the company's products.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to ascertain customer needs.
  • Provide effective solutions to customer technical problems.
  • Utilize engineering expertise throughout the entire sales process.
  • Analyze customer requirements to provide appropriate alternative proposals to sales professionals.
  • Communicate with customers and team members via telephone, email, and virtual tools effectively.
  • No travel required; all customer interactions are remote, supported by innovative sales-engineering software.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • At least five years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • At least two years of industrial sales experience in a technical, engineering-focused role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States (Citizen or Green Card holder).
  • Residence within a 45-minute drive of Richfield, Wisconsin.
  • Proven ability to enjoy and effectively handle frequent customer phone interactions.
  • Demonstration of a stable and solid work history.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with combustion technologies and applications.
  • Experience in environmentally focused product development or sales.
