Engineering Manager

Manufacturer of industrial portable air conditioner unit is looking for experienced mechanical engineer experienced in elements of product development and qualification activities. This position will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and documenting new and existing product. The engineer will support/oversee in the testing and certification of prototypes. . To do this, the engineer must have strong working knowledge of the HVAC systems and design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supports design and qualification of commercial HVAC systems
• Confirms product design performance, capability and reliability in the engineering product test laboratories
• Collaborates with manufacturing faculties to effectively implement design into production
• Collaborates with the product marketing teams to develop product requirements and ensure that the product meets their needs when launched
• Evaluate new and existing designs for efficiencies or process improvements
• Stay abreast of technological advances related to our product
• Create HVAC designs utilizing knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
• Assist in evaluating product for system quality and efficiency
• Develop solutions for product related issues
• Work with suppliers to improve quality and/or resolve product issues
