Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Mechanical Engineer to work on-site with our client, a Fortune-1000 electronics company in Santa Rosa, CA.

This is a long-term, at-will contract positions that will see the ideal candidates working alongside industry-leading talent in a world-class environment, supporting robotic test automation development and deployment

Responsibilities

  • Support of Asymmetric Defected Ground Structure (circuits)Automation business objectives and milestones
  • Mechanical engineering and design for customer automation solutions based on defined statement of work documents
  • Full lifecycle engineering from Concept and Design through Deployment, Support and Obsolescence
  • Create full detail CAD models, 2D drawings, and BOMs in support of engineering lifecycle
  • Maintain BOMs and Maintenance Documentation
  • Look for opportunities to incorporate new technologies into existing automation that will decrease cost and increase reliability
  • Provide engineering support of NPIs into internal automation

Qualifications

  • BSME/MSME or equivalent
  • 5-10 years of experience in the mechanical design and implementation of robotics systems
  • Ability to develop effective designs and solutions quickly and efficiently
  • Strong expertise in CAD modeling, drafting, file vault applications and BOM development
  • Strong work ethic
  • Able to demonstrate analytic skills such as FEA for mechanical and thermal systems
  • Must have sound knowledge of mechatronic engineering principals
  • Ability to read and understand pneumatic and electrical schematics
  • Ability to design simple electrical and pneumatic circuits and create schematics
  • Can work independently or collaboratively as required
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Strong computer skills (CAD, MS Office, Data Collection & Analysis)
  • Must demonstrate competence in mechanical assembly and fabrication techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, coworkers, and customers
  • Ability to use common machine shop tools is a bonus
  • Must be a US Citizen
