Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Columbus, Ohio. As an Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to start their career in mechanical design engineering.

This is a permanent, direct-hire position.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems and components
- Conduct research and analysis to support engineering projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Utilize CAD software, such as Autodesk Inventor
- Perform calculations and simulations using FEA software
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of prototypes
- Conduct testing and analysis of mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the design and testing process

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Autodesk products
- Familiarity with CNC machining processes and equipment
- Experience with MATLAB for data analysis and simulation
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles and concepts
- Familiarity with LabView for data acquisition and control systems is a plus
