Mechanical Design Engineer - Structural Steel

Salary: $70,000 - $86,500 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring all projects adhere to timelines and quality standards.
  • Create innovative, custom designs for mechanical metal product solutions, catering to client-specific needs and specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the fabrication team to ensure designs are feasible and optimized for manufacturing.
  • Maintain communication with project stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback on project progress and design adjustments.
  • Participate in project reviews and troubleshooting sessions to identify and solve engineering issues as they arise.
  • Utilize both AutoCAD and 3D design tools to prepare detailed engineering drawings and models.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years working specifically with the design of structural metal products.
  • Proven track record of metal product fabrication techniques and processes.
  • Significant experience with AutoCAD and 3D design software.
  • Understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems crucial for integrated designs.
  • Established history of long-term employment in related fields.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a valid Green Card.
  • Location within a 45-minute drive of Caledonia, Wisconsin, or willingness to relocate.
