This full-time, permanent Mechanical Applications Engineer position is with a well-established industrial manufacturer known for creating environmentally friendly products that significantly reduce pollution and fossil fuel dependence. This role involves managing customer interfaces and providing technical solutions with a high degree of autonomy and support from sophisticated, industry-specific sales engineering software.

Salary: $65,000 to $80,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle approximately 20 - 25 customer calls daily to assess needs and provide solutions.
• Utilize in-depth engineering knowledge to apply technical skills to company products.
• Investigate and analyze customer requirements to better address problems.
• Operate comprehensive internet-based engineering software designed to automate most of the sales and application engineering processes.
• Develop and provide suitable alternative technical proposals and support to the sales team.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members through telephone, email, and virtual tools.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• At least two years of industrial sales application engineering experience.
• Strong verbal communication skills and enjoyment of customer interaction.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
• Residence within a 45-minute commute to Richfield, Wisconsin.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in combustion technology.
