***This role requires onsite between office and warehouse (locations are less than a mile away from each other)

Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material to and through the procurement and distribution cycle to determine inventory requirements. Works as liaison with production and manufacturing staff, suppliers, and internal departments, and requires moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities -

  • 50% Interacts with material planners, buyers, and vendors on regular basis for critical item needs, shipping schedules, forecast information and expediting.
  • 20% Develop production and procurement plans for Raw Materials and Finished Goods MRP system to meet sales and inventory budget. Work for continuous Supply Chain Management improvements.
  • 10% Review and input stock number set up, Product Notice input, and Engineering Change Notices.
  • 10% Perform inventory analysis to establish slow moving and excess reserves and provide expertise to Product Management for distribution ideas.
  • 10% Develop and implement new hardware release and change over plans for best inventory results.

Experience / Skills

  • Minimum of two years experience in a material planning related position.
  • Knowledgeable of Engineering Change Notice, Bill of Material, Product Notices, Purchase Orders, Customer Orders, Physical Inventory, Inventory Analysis, Order Releases, Backorder, Expedites, Forecasting, and Distribution Center processes.
  • Strong working knowledge required for inventory ordering control systems, supply chain management, and ability to analyze data to determine trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Experienced in using SAP ECC 6.0 and CRM.
  • Advanced levels of Word Documents, Excel Spreadsheets, Power Point and Outlook are required.
  • A high level of communications required involving the use of phone, voice mail, email, and face to face using the English language.
  • Strong sense of urgency servicing customers: internal and external.
  • Maintain high attendance, work well with others, work with little supervision, and possess exceptional business ethics.
