Planner / Master Planner

Job Summary for location Warminster, PA

The master planner is responsible for managing the overall planning activities on all work-cells of given product lines. The Master Planning responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring a robust demand management process is in place to achieve 100% customer service level simultaneously driving to meet the companies operational/financial goals; this includes monitoring monthly revenue, forecasting, capacity analysis, and expediting.

Prerequisites

  • BA, preferably in Supply chain or Engineering field, and minimum experience in materials management, supply chain, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing environment; OR Associate's Degree and 3 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing environment; OR High school diploma, or GED, and 5 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing environment.
  • SAP Experience is extremely important. Possess knowledge of production planning and MRP, clearly understand the process or loading and changing the MPS, along with the impact on MRP and the Material planners. Advanced PC skills with emphasis on spreadsheet skills and ERP/MRP experience
  • Strong problem solving, negotiation and people skills are a must. Ability to effectively and professionally work under pressure, in a team oriented environment, with frequent changes in deadlines and priorities
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the USA

Job Description

  • Team champion and lead administrator of demand management process
    1. Ensure customer deliveries to the demand plan based on material and capacity constraints.
    2. Maintain achievable build & ship plan, with focus on minimizing costs, external lead-time and Through-Put Time (TPT).
    3. Monitor and maintain work-cell capacity through use of capacity analysis tools and production schedules.
  • Support and actively participate in monthly revenue, forecast cycle.
    1. Create monthly revenue plans to support plant and business unit strategies, initiatives and revenue goals.
    2. Track and communicate all revenue progression and risks to operations weekly.
    3. Actively collaborate with SCM and Sales teams to ensure proper materials panning through forecast and historical consumptions.
  • Lead production team and individual work-cells in supporting factory schedules and required metrics.
    1. Define and track on-time delivery, Master Production Schedule, and Dispatch Report.
    2. Utilize, develop, and refine standard planning processes and tools.
    3. Convey or publish Production Plan to production and work-cell leads
  • Develop firm understanding of cross-functional responsibilities, processes, and goals.
    1. Possess active knowledge of supply chain, inventory control, and manufacturing.
    2. Recognize critical components, pricing, lead-time, and high stocks.
    3. Action team lead in WIP tracking capabilities, BOM structuring, and process routings.
