Basic Purpose and Objective
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Automotive Marketing & Sales Coordinator to join our team at a leading automotive supplier with multiple manufacturing locations across the country. Based in our Plymouth, Michigan office, this role will support the marketing and sales teams in promoting our automotive products, coordinating sales activities, and strengthening relationships with customers in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be a proactive communicator with a passion for marketing, sales support, and the automotive sector, ensuring seamless collaboration across our nationwide operations.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate marketing campaigns and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and drive demand for automotive products across multiple manufacturing locations.
- Support the sales team by preparing proposals, presentations, and sales materials tailored to automotive industry clients.
- Maintain and update customer databases, ensuring accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and client interactions using CRM software.
- Collaborate with manufacturing locations to gather product information, specifications, and updates to support marketing and sales initiatives.
- Assist in organizing and attending trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to promote products and build relationships.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to provide actionable insights to the marketing and sales teams.
- Coordinate logistics for marketing collateral, product samples, and promotional materials, ensuring timely delivery to customers and events.
- Prepare regular sales reports, market analysis, and performance metrics to track progress and support strategic decision-making.
- Act as a liaison between the Plymouth office and other manufacturing locations to ensure consistent messaging and alignment on sales goals.
- Support customer inquiries, follow-ups, and relationship management to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Assist in managing social media accounts, website content, and digital marketing efforts specific to the automotive industry.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, sales coordination, or a related role, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating professional marketing materials and engaging with customers.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with the automotive industry, including supplier dynamics and customer expectations, is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
- Experience with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 20%) to manufacturing sites, trade shows, or customer locations.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of automotive components, supply chains, or manufacturing processes.
- Experience coordinating events, trade shows, or promotional campaigns in the automotive sector.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) for creating marketing collateral.
